Link the Email question, and any others you like, to your contact fields, then choose the list just below. Each answer adds or updates the contact in that list, with no export or import.

What an answer can do

  • Create a new contact from the email address entered.
  • Update a contact you already have.
  • File the contact in the list of your choice.
  • Tag: one tag for the form, and one tag per answer choice.
  • Score (quiz): the score in a field, a “passed” or “failed” tag.

Is an existing contact overwritten?

No. Only the fields filled in on the form are updated; anything left blank stays as it is in the contact record.

With one tag per answer, a segment instantly gives you the right people for your next campaign. And to follow up with those who have not answered: see the FAQ.

In detail: forms and contacts. To trigger a workflow from these answers: automations and your forms.
