Long-text questions cannot grade themselves. Open the participant's answer, award the points for the question and save: their score is recalculated.
In the meantime
Until a written answer has been graded, the response stays “awaiting grading” in the list. The other questions (choices, numbers, short answers) are already graded automatically.
When does the candidate see their grading?
Depending on your setting: right away, or only when the exam closes. For an exam with written answers, showing the answer key at closing gives you time to grade everything.
Once graded, the result can be sent by email with a link to the candidate's personal page: send the result by email.
